Adolescent Hematology and Gynecology Clinic

The Adolescent Hematology and Gynecology Clinic treats patient with menorraghia with blood disorders. As a part of the Texas Children’s Hematology Center, our clinic provides “one-stop” care for gynecologic, hematologic and psychosocial issues for teenagers with menorrhagia and bleeding disorders.

Menorrhagia is the most common manifestation in young women with blood disorders. Our clinic provides “one-stop” care for gynecologic, hematologic and psychosocial issues for teenagers with menorrhagia and bleeding disorders.

Our multidisciplinary team of providers care for a large number of adolescents with menorrhagia. The Gynecology Service at Texas Children’s Hospital has physicians who play a national role in the field of adolescent menorrhagia and are dedicated to the care of these patients. The Hematology Center comprises a group of hematologists who have many years of expertise in managing children with blood disorders. Our clinic is uniquely poised to provide expert medical, educational and psychosocial support and to enhance quality of life for this patient population.

The Adolescent Hematology and Gynecology Clinic, in collaboration between the gynecology and hematology center, provides a rare opportunity to participate in and further expand ongoing innovative and cutting edge research programs that will greatly benefit all teenagers with menorrhagia.

The Adolescent Hematology and Gynecology Clinic is part of the Hematology Center at Texas Children's Hospital, the largest pediatric hospital in the United States.
